She was from the area of Providence United Methodist Church and she married a Davis from the Eureka area. I don't know who all of these people were. Most of the Davises I have a little info on. I will list them in the order they were in the Bible. Davis and Mary Grantham his wife was Married December the 28th 1852 (my great great grandfather) William R. Davis and Mary J. Beard his wife was married april 8th 1862 William R. Davis and Polly A.P. Brogden was married 23 of january 1877 (my great great grandmother) Rachel Lane wife of Isaac Lane Departed this life May 27th Day 1836 William Lane sone of Will Lane & Elizabeth His wife departed this life october 21, 1840 William Lane son of William Lane & Margriet his wife Departed this life decemBer the 10th, 1846, Being seventy four years an six months & four days of age Mary A. davis wife of William R. Davis Departed this Life December 7th 1861 Mary Davis Second Wife of William R. Davis Departed this Life May the 19th 1876 That is all for now. I have tried to copy exactly as written. Thus the weird capitalization, spelling, lines between names etc. There are several more pages that aren't as clear and I will work more on them. It looks like the Bible initially belonged to the Lane family. Polly A.P. Brogden was related to Curtis Hooks Brogden. She is buried in Brogden Cemetery off Overman Rd. Her full name was Polly Ann Phoebe Brogden. Gov. Curtis Brogden's family was from that area and his father is buried there along with several others and some graves with wooden markers and no name. I haven't been able to find the connection between Curtis and my gggrandmother.
