Wayne County, NC - Miscellaneous William & Emmet Robinson Collection Johnston County Heritage Center Reference Box, P.C.1.1. George Ragsdale Collection Memorandum of a bargain and sale between Wm Robinson of the town of Goldsboro, & James Gardner of the County of Wayne witnesseth that the said Robinson has this day sold and delivered to said Gardner one mare mule, said mule "bellowsed" or "injured in her wind" and the said Gardner agrees to deliver in said Robinson's yard in said town of Goldsboro Twenty five cords of good hard wood in payment of an for said mule. The wood to be delivered say five cords during the present month of January and five cords during the month of February or as much now during said months as said Robinson may require for the use of his househould and the said Garnder hereby agrees to keep said Robinson well supplied with said wood, as aforesaid until the entire quantity of Twenty five cords as aforesaid shall have been delivered.
