Wayne County, NC - Robinson/Ragsdale Collection File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Lori Price Cobb William & Emmet Robinson Collection Johnston County Heritage Center Reference Box, P.C.1.1. George Ragsdale Collection West Point NY Sept 19th 1854 Dear Pa, I hasten to inform you that one class was divided yesterday, according to age, all those above 18, being put in the fourth class, all those below in the fifth. My name was read out yesterday before the Battallion as being in the fourth class. We pursue the same course of studies as before. The fifth class study Elocution, Composition, Spanish and German in addition to our course. I am getting along very well so far having received about the tenth mark in the class for the last two weeks. I did it by very hard study though. I am well and in much better spirits that I was before. My love to all. ----- Your affectionate Son Wm.G. _________________________________________________________________________ USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
