    Twelve Months after date we or either of us promise to pay Wm
Robinson bearer one hundred and sixty eight dollars, to be paid in
twelve equal monthly payments of fourteen dollars each said payments 
severally to be made on the last day of each and every month, commencing
on the 31st Jany 1859 and ending Decr 31, 1859 for hire of negro (copy
faded) for the space of one year from the date hereof. We also promise
to furnish said negro with three suits of clothes - that is to say, one 
of good wollen cloth for the winter and two of good cotton cloth for the
summer, one good wollen hat, two pair of shoes and one blanket for the
males, and one good wollen hat or its equivalent, one pair of shoes and
one blanket for the females, and one additional blanket for every two
children hired with their mother. We also stipulate that said negroes 
shall not be carried into any county not adjoining the county of Wayne,
and that they shall not be allowed to work in steam or saw mills, work
on or pass rivers, steamboats or railroads, and to return said negro
to the owner on the 31st day of December 1859. For the perforemance of
which covenants and agreements we bind ourselves and our heirs, jointly
and severally, firmly by these presents. Witness, our hands and seals,
this 31st day of December, A.D., 1859
