C. near the intersetion ofs Tate road 1008 and 1211 and near the old Bizzell home. It is in the woods about 100 yards behind his old home. It has an elegant gravestone some 15 feet tall, and is enclosed by an iron fence. His epitaph reads: "In memory of M. Haywood Bizzell, born 6-27-1827; died 12-4-1895. A member of the Christian Church, a disciple in deed and in truth, faithful to his friends, charitable to the poor liberal to the church and loyal to Christ. He rests from his labors, and his works do follow him Rest in peace." Thought to be buried near by is: Betsy A. Cole, his wife, born 12-1838 in Johnston County, N. C. and died 4-29-1916, a daughter of Willis Cole and a Miss Stevens. According to Mr. Oscar Bizzell of Newton Grove, N. C., Marshall Haywood Bizzell was a son of Susan Bizzell and grandson of Thomas Bizzell and Pattie Stevens Bizzell. M. Haywood was a member of the Mill Creek Masonic Lodge number 125 in 1866, and continued a faithful member as long as he lived. Mr. Albert Howell, living in Grantham in 1979, remembers Mrs. Betsy Bizzell vey well. She attended Selah Church.
