This is a Memorial placed by the side of Route 581, about 1 mile north of Pinkney.
The old cemetery was about 300 yards west of the marker. Number 77 on map.

"IN MEMORY OF JIMMIE AND RUTHIE HOLLAND, died before 1779.
REVOLUTIONAY SOLDIER. EARLY SETTLERS OF WAYNE COUNTY, NC.
FIRST HOLLANDS TO SETTLE IN THIS COUNTY."
