Willie inherited only a feather bed from his own father, but left a legacy of acres of farm land to his own children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Willie was married three times. His first wife was Sadie Thompson and his second was Sarah Ann Wise. He had one daughter with each of the first two wives who both predeceased him. Although both Sarah and third wife Emma were interred at the Harrell place, Sadie was not among those buried at the cemetery. Willie's third wife, Emma Harrell, bore him many children and outlived her husband by many years, tended the farm and raised her family as a single mother in the depression era. The cemetery is located in the back of the corn field alongside a narrow ditch where it adjoins the neighbor's hay field. Harrell family descendants remain owners of the land. * There are two headstones for Willie Harrell with two different years of birth. They are both for the same man, the second a larger monument placed by his youngest daughter years later.
