Wayne County, NC - McDonald Cemetery This file was contributed by "John McDonald" May 2000 A small cemetery that was at the edge of a field is now in the front yard of 242 Red Hill Road, Eureka, NC, not far from the water tower. There are several graves without names. Please email me if anyone knows the unmarked graves. The marked ones are: Luther McDonald Born Sept 9, 1894 Died Feb 5, 1913 Beloved one farewell Emma Galloway Wife of W H McDonald died 27 Sep 1903 James Haywood McDonald Born 22 Aug 1900 Died 27 Mar 1930 These are the stones unearthed by Nancy Smith and Elliott. Still a stone Mrs Queen Austin says named Katie we have not found Little Luther Son of J W & Effie Davis Born Apr 22, l9l4 Died Aug ll, l9l4 Darling we miss thee James Haywood McDonald Born Aug 22, l900 Died Mar 07, l930 Emma Galloway Wife of W H McDonald Died 9-27-l903 Luther McDonald Born 9-9-l894 Died 2-5-l9l3 Beloved one farewell Annie L Dau of J W & Effie Davis Born 4-26-l9l5 Died 6-l-l9l7 Gone to be an angel Mr Luther Austin worked on the cemetery the week before he died.
