Wayne County, NC - State vs Henry Ashford and Geo Boyett ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ C.R. 103.928.6-10 - Miscellaneous Records The Jurors in the case of state vs Henry Ashford and Geo Boyett having heard the affidavits filed by the Deft in his motion for a new trial, after being duly sworn, declare say that although it is a fact that some of the jury did take a drink while out upon the case, no one of the jury were in any way intoxicated or under the influence of Liquor that there was no improper conduct on the part of the jury except in the fact of some of them taking a drink, and that their verdict was not rendered contrary to their honest convictions upon the evidence before them, and that "Liqour nor the Cent of it had anything to do with their verdict.
