Written: 1848

This is to certify that Mr. L. Brewer came under my treatment for Carbuncle 
about the month of July 1848 and remained under the same until the spring of 
the present year. As the Carbuncle was on the shoulder blade the muscular 
action has been much injured and the use of the arm rendered painful
