February Court 1857
A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Julia A Bunting 
is propounded for probate by John C Slocumb the executor therein named and the 
same is duly proved by the several oaths, R T Haskins & George W Collier the 
subscribing witnesses thereto who both depose that the said paper writing was 
executed in their presence and in the presence of each other and was published 
and declared by the testimony to be her last will and testament on the date 
therein specified, and at the time of executing the same that the said Julia A 
Bunting was of sound mind and disposing memory. Whereupon the court doth declare 
the said paper writing to be the last will and testament of the late Julia A 
Bunting and doth order the same together with this order of probate to be 
recorded. Thereupon John C Slocumb appears in court and takes upon himself the 
burden of executing the same and takes the oath of an executor as prescribed by 
law. Let letters testimentary issue.
