STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA

             To the Sheriff of Wayne County Greeting

     You are hereby commanded that of the Goods and chattels, Lands
and Teniments of David Jernigan Sen'r, John Herring, Charles Hopton,
James Burn, Charles Hynes, John Roberts, John Holmes, Uriah Blanchard,
Solomon Herring and Francis Cogdell - if to be found in your County
you cause to be made the sum of three pounds four Shillings and three
pence specie besides your own fees for the services - being Charges
and cost of a certain Suit by them brought against Arthur Jones, 
Shadrack Boyet, Amos Boyet, Uriah Langston, Mary Langston, Thomas
Doughtry Sen'r, John Smith, John Brogdon, Moses Mustgrave, Jonathan
Taylor, Robert Faulkner, Joseph Jinnett, John Harrell, Aaron Wallace,
John Brown, Willis Jones, Reubin Mitchell, Jesse Croome, Elijah Croome,
John Hynes, William Howell, John Smith, Joseph Everitt, Cadar Hynes,
Samuel Harrell, James? Jones, William Lane, & Reubin Hynes - and no
futher prosecuted, whereof the said David, John, Charles, James, 
Charles, John, John, Uriah, Solomon and Francis is convicted and liable
as to us appears of record, and have you the said monies at our next
court to be held for the County of Wayne at the Court House in
Waynesborough on the second Monday in April next, then and there to 
render the office the costs aforesaid. Herein fail not, and have you 
then and there this writ, witness James Cobb Clerk of our said court
at his office this twelfth year of our Indenpendance Anno Dom. 1788-
