Term 1852, we the undersigned commissioners appointed by the court of Pleas & quarter sessions of said county to divide the negroes belonging to the estate of Elizabeth Collier dec'd between the heirs at law of said deceased, have proceeded this 19th day of Aug. 1852 to divide & make partition between & among John J. Collier, George W. Collier, Willis Hall & wife Maria, W. D. Cobb & wife Nancy, Richard West, John H. West, Probert P. West, Robert West, Sarah West, Mary West, Joseph West heirs at law of Eliza West dec'd, tenants in common of Elizabeth Collier dec'd have alloted and assigned to each his & her share as follows, that is to say: Lot No. 1 is assigned & drawn by John J. Collier & includes the following slaves, Jim, Dolly, Rosetta, Lizzy, Polly & Frank, valued one thousand eight hundred and twenty five dollars. Lot No. 2 is assigned & drawn by George W. Collier, includes the following slaves, Edney, Ellick, Mathew, Marzilla, Winny, old Esther, valued at one thousand eight hundred & fifty dollars. Lot No. 3 is assigned & drawn by W. D. Cobb & wife Nancy, including the following slaves, Violet, Ransum, Eliza & John, valued at one thousand & five hundred dollars. Lot No. 4 is assigned & drawn by Richard West, Jno. H. West, Probert P. West, Robert West, Sarah West, Mary West & Joseph West heirs of Eliza West dec'd, including the following slaves, Laura, William, Linn, Lewis, David & Hannah, valued at one thousand six hundred and seventy five dollars. Lot No. 5 is assigned & drawn by Willis Hall & wife Maria, including the following, Julia Hawkins, Violet, Frederick, Sarah & yellow Esther, valued at one thousand six hundred dollars. We further charge the more valuable dividends with such sums of money respectively to be paid to those of inferior value as will make an equitable division that is to say that Lot No. 1 drawn by John J. Collier pays to lot No. 5 drawn by Willis Hall & wife the sum of ninety dollars & it further pays to lot No. 3 drawn by W. C. Cobb & wife the sum of thirty dollars & that it further pays to lot No. 4 drawn by the West heirs, the sum of fifteen dollars, and that lot No. 2 drawn by Geo. W. Collier pays to lot No. 3 drawn by W. D. Cobb & wife the sum of one hundred & sixty dollars. All of which is respectfully submitted under our hands and seals this 17th day of Nov. 1852. W.
