Widow Mary Everitt’s Dower Land

State of North Carolina Wayne County
In obedience to an order issued from the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions 
November Term 1844 we the undersigned Jurors having been legally summoned and 
sworn by Ollen Coor Sheriff of said county to set off to Mary Everitt widow of 
James Everitt dec’d one third part of all the lands said dec’d died seized and 
profits of have provided to do the same as the annexed plan represents. 

Boundaries mentioned are meadow at a persimon tree, bend of a branch, run of 
branch, stooping chestnut, run of great branch, Solomon Pope’s corner, Solomon 
Grantham’s corner, horse swamp and containing eight hundred fifty nine and half 
acres. [see images for details]

Given under our hands and seals this 6th Dec 1844.
