To the sheriff of Wayne County Greeting

We command you that of the goods & chattels lands and teniments Celah Cogdell 
administratrix of the estate of Fran's Cogdell late of Wayne County dec'd you 
cause to be made the sum of four pounds four shillings & nine pence specie, 
being the costs of suit by him brought against Duet(?) Deese and no further 
prosecuted and for administration of the estate of the said Francis Cogdell, 
whereof the said Celah Cogdell is convicted and liable, and have you the said 
monies at our next court to be held at Waynesborough on the second Monday if 
October next to satisfie the said costs, herein fail not and have you then and 
there this writ witness James Cobb Clerk of our said court at his office this 
14th July 1788.

upon motion its ordered that Celah Cogdell, widow of Francis Cogdell
late of Wayne county deceased, have administration on the Estate of
the said deceased, and that she enter into bond with Security in the
sum of Two hundred pounds specie who accordingly gives Thomas Gray
& Arthur Jernigan her securitys ordered that Letters of administration
issue accordingly
