State of North Carolina } Court of Pleas & Quarter Wayne County } Sessions Nov Term 1858 Upon the application of Margaret Gardner, widow of Theophilus Gardner who was placed upon the invalid pension list of the State of North Carolina on account of being disabled in body by reason of disease contracted in the Service of the State during the last war with Great Brittain. It is ordered by the Court that the Clerk certify to the General Assembly of North Carolina that they recommend that the said Margaret Gardner be placed on the pension list of the State and that an allowance of Forty dollars per year be paid her, she not having the means of a support. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of an order made at the November term of the Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions for said County A.D. 1858. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal of office at Goldsboro, this 21st day Jany 1859.
