James Harrison --- Richard McKinne Estate, 1835 CR 103.508.105 State of North Carolina Wayne County We the undersigned Jurors have been duly summond and sworn by William Thompson Sheriff for sd county to lay off to Julia McKinne widow of Richard McKinne dec’d one third part of the lands of the sd dec’d proceed as represented by the above plan: beginning at a lightwood stump and runs S 58 pole to a stake then E 179 pole to Little River then up sd river as N 58 pole to a corner of the river then W 179 pole to the first station - also one other piece beginning at black gum in the Spring Branch & runs S 25 E 76 pole to a pine then W 84 pole to a pine then N 5 E 43 pole to a blackjack then N 43 W 46 pole to a pine then N 80 E 26 pole to a gum in the aforesaid Spring Branch then down the branch as it meanders to the first station – also one other piece beginning at a pine and runs N 65 E 54 pole to a pine in a pond then S 83 ½ E 90 pole to a pine then S 15 E 90 pole to S 30 E 13 pole to a stake then N 62 ¼ W to the first station containing in all the aforesaid pieces of land one hundred & fifty acres – given under our hands this 7th day of May 1835. McKinne her years provisions and such other articles as she is by law entitled, and report the same to the next term of said court having met accordingly on the 16th of March and made the allowance. fifeen barrells corn one good blade shuck eight hundred pounds bacon one hundred pounds lard one cow & calf her choice fifty dollars in money to buy all other articles that she may stand in need for the family such as sugar, coffee, mollasses, flour, &c &c - all of which is respectfully submitted.
