Pipkin widow of Jesse Pipkin relinquishes her right to administrate upon the estate of her deceased husband Jesse Pipkin. Ordered by the court that Willis Pipkin be appointed administrator upon the estate of Jesse Pipkin deceased upon his entering into bond in the sum of twenty five thousand dollars with Wm. B. Edmundson and Jesse J. Baker securities – bond given – administrator qualified Feb Crt, 1853, pg 444 Ordered that Willis Pipkin have leave to sell Negroes prayed for in his petition as administrator of Jesse Pipkin Feb Term 1853, pg 455 Willis Pipkin adm of Jesse Pipkin Exparte to the Court Petition for sale of slaves This petition coming on to be heard and the court being satisfied of the truth of the facts therein stated. It is thereupon ordered by the court that Willis Pipkin administrator of Jesse Pipkin do sell the slaves belonging to the esate of said deceased to the highest bidder by public sale that he advertise the time and place of sale at the court house and four other public places in the county at least twenty days before the sale, that said sale be made in a credit of six months and that he take bond approved security of the purchase or purchases. Moses duly proven in open court by oath by the oath of Wm. B. Edmundson a subscribing witness and registered May Crt, 1853, pg 476 Account of sale of the property of Jesse Pipkin returned and recorded August Crt, 1853, pg 514 Account of sales of the property of Jesse Pipkin returned to court and ordered to be recorded Book CR 103.301.10 Feb Crt, 1855, pg 114 Willis Pipkin adm'r of Jesse Pipkin dec'd vs Alexander Pipkin and Louisa Pipkin Petition to subject the proceeds of real estate Wm. B. Edmundson is appointed guardian to the defendants who it appears to the court are infants and accepts service of petition The cause coming to be heard by consent, it is considered by the court and so adjudged that the facts set forth in the petition in this cause are true and it is therefore decreed that the said Willis Pipkin adm'r be granted a license to use the proceeds of the sale of the real estate in the petition mentioned now in the hands of the clerk and master of this court for the payment of the debt of his intestate. It is further decreed that the cost of this proceeding be paid out of the fund. Nov Crt, 1856, pg 269 Ordered that Willis Pipkin be allowed 5 per cent on receipts and 5 per cent on expenditures in settlement of the estate of Jesse Pipkin deceased Feb Crt, 1857, pg 306 Willis Pipkin is appointed guardian to Louisa A. Pipkin and Alexander W. Pipkin and enters into bond in the sum of four thousand dollars with W. B. Edmundson and Elisha Pipkin securities Feb Crt, 1857, pg 315 Willis Pipkin adm'r of Jesse Pipkin vs David L. Burbank & wife & others Petition for account and settlement This cause coming to be heard in the report of the clerk and there being no objection to the same, it is confirmed in all things, and it is ordered that the costs of this petition together with the sum of ten dollars to clerk in the hands of the administrator, and it further appearing that the balance of the nine hundred and seventy six dollars and eighty two cents ($976.82) of money in the hands of the administrator, arose from the sale of real estate in which the defendant David L. Burbank and wife has no interest. It is ordered adjudged and decreed that after the costs of this suit are deducted from the same that the administrator Willis Pipkin pay the balance thereof with interest from 20 Nov 1856 to the defendants Louisa A. and Alexander W.
