Mathew & Edith Pipkin to Solomon Grantham

Indenture made 9 October 1819 between Mathew & Edith Pipkin and Solomon Grantham, 
all of Wayne County, for $50 land in Wayne, land belonging to the heirs of Hardy 
Holmes supposed to be two hundred acres.
Witnesses: Kinion Grantham and Joshua Grantham

Minute Docket of Pleas & Quarter Sessions 1820-23
21 Aug 1820 - A deed of sale from Mathew Pipkin and Edith Pipkin to [blank] 
was proved in open court by the oath of subscribing witness thereto - and it 
appears to the satisfaction of the court that Edith Pipkin cannot conveniently 
attend this court for this purpose of being privately examined it is ordered 
by the court that a commission issue to Lewis Cogdell and William Fellow 
Esquires authorizing them privately to examine the said Edith Pipkin touching 
the execution of said deed.
