Powell Papers PC 1732 State of Georgia } Baldwin County } Know all men by these presents that I Daniel A. Powell of the State and County aforesaid do hereby constitute make and appoint John H. Powell of the State of North Carolina and County of Wayne my true and lawful Attorney for me and in my name to petition for, ask, demand and receive of and from my Guardian John Wright of the same State and County, all my right title and interest in certain negroes now in the hands of my said Guardian to wit: Charles, Gracy, Matilda and child, and I do herby empower the said John H. Powell to make and execute to my said Guardian all such writings, receipts and releases as may be requisite and necessary for the above purpose as fully and effectually as I myself might do, and also to receive all moneys debts, or other things which may be due me and in all other respects to do and act for me and in my name as fully to all intents and purposes as I myself might do - In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 30th day of October 1845 Daniel A.
