     Yo the worshipful the Justices of the Court of Pleas and Quarter 
Sessions, February Term 1858.
     We the undersigned freeholders appointed by the Court of Pleas and 
Quarter Sessions of said County having been duly sworn, proceeded on 
the 17th day of December to divide and make partition between and among 
PENELOPE WARTERS, LEMUEL SUTTON in right of his wife ESTHER, J. B. 
WARTERS and MARTHA WARTERS, tenants in common of certain chattel 
property viz: Negro Slaves, THORN, JACK, CHARLOTTE, ZILPHA, AMANDA, 
CELIA, JANE, NANEY & JACOB.
The Lot No 1 - Appropriated to Mrs. PENELOPE WARTERS namely Negro 
Slaves, THORN, CHARLOTTE & ZILPHA valued at $1350. The Lot No 1 is to 
pay to No 4 appropriated to MARTHA WARTERS the sum of twelve dollars & 
fifty cents ($12.50)
The Lot No 2 - Appropriated to LEMUEL SUTTON & his wife ESTHER namely 
JANE & NANEY, Negro Slaves valued at $1450, the said Lot No 2 pay to No 
4 appropriated to MARTHA WARTERS one hundred twelve dollars and fifty 
cent ($112.50). 
The Lot No 3 - Appropriated to JOHN B. WARTERS, Negro Slaves, JACK and 
CELIA valued at fifteen hundred dollars ($1500). Said Lot No 3 is to 
pay to Lot no 4 appropriated to MARTHA WARTERS, One hundred sixty-two 
dollars and fifty cents ($162.50).
The Lot No 4 - Is appropriated to MARTHA WARTERS Negro Slaves, AMANDA & 
JACOB, valued at one thousand and fifty dollars & to make her Lot equal 
to a share, which is thirteen hundred & thirty seven dollars & fifty 
cents ($1337.50). She receives from Lot No 1, 2 & 3 two hundred eighty 
seven dollars and fifty cents ($287.50). All of which is respectfully 
submitted.
