Daniel Bowden vs W B Edmondson Admr of John Wright
Debt
To Spring Term 1867

State of North Carolina
To the Sheriff of Wayne County Greeting:
You are hereby commanded to take the bodies of Samuel Smith & D B Everitt and 
summons W B Edmondson administrator of John Wright if to be found in your county, 
and them safely keep so that you have them before the Judge of our Superior Court 
of Law to be held for the county of Wayne at the court house in Goldsboro on the 
first Monday after the fourth Monday in March next then and there to answer 
Daniel Bowden Gdn of a plea that they render to him five hundred fifty seven and 
10/100 dollars which &c four hundred dollars

Herein fail not and have you then and there this writ
Witness, E A Wright, Clerk of our said court at Office in Goldsboro the first 
Monday after the fourth Monday in Sept AD 1866

David Bowden vs Saml Smith
Executed Jan 26th 1867

State of North Carolina
Wayne County
Know all men by these presents that we Samuel Smith & John Everitt are held and 
firmly bound unto John T. Kennedy, High Sheriff of said county, his heirs, 
executors, administrators and assigns, in the sum of eleven hundred and fifteen 
dollars to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, 
executors and administrators, jointly, severally and firmly by these presents.
Sealed with our seals, and dated the (blank) day of 186 (blank)

The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden Samuel 
Smith do and shall make his personal appearance before the Judge of the Superior 
Court of Law to be held for the county of Wayne at the court house in Goldsboro 
on the first Monday after the fourth Monday in March then and there to answer 
David Bowden Gdn of a plea that they render unto him five hundred and fifty seven 
dollars and ten cents which &c, damages four hundred dollars and then to stand to 
and abide by the judgment of the said court and not depart the same without 
license had and obtained; and then the above obligation to be void and of no 
effect, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

Writ Debt to Spring Term 1867 Feb Ct

State of North Carolina
To the Sheriff of Wayne County Greeting:
You are hereby commanded to take the bodies of J G Uzzell, Joshua Uzzell & Thomas 
Uzzell if to be found in your county, and them safely keep so that you have them 
before the Judge of our Superior Court of Law to be held for the county of Wayne 
at the court house in Goldsboro on the first Monday after the fourth Monday in 
March next, then and there to answer Wm B Edmundson Adm of John Wright; use of 
Richard Washington & E B Borden of a plea that they render to him the sum of one 
thousand & thirty dollars which &c damages six hundred dollars

Herein fail not and have you then and there this writ
Witness, E A Wright, Clerk of our said court at Office in Goldsboro the first 
Monday after the fourth Monday in Sept AD 1867
