Lot No. 9 is assigned to Hanah M Stafford in severalty, bounded as follows, to wit - beginning at a pine on the run of a pine, on the run of a prong of Sleepy creek, corner of lot no. 8 & runs then with the line of lot no. 8, N 8.30 E 38.50 chs to a stake on the New Berne road - then with said road S 61.15 E 18.09 chs to a stake - then S 34 W 4.45 chs to a stake formerly a pine - then S 6.21 W 36.72 chs to a stake & pine stump - then West 15 chs to a black gum on the west side of a prong of Sleepy creek - then up the same as it meanders to the first station, containing seventy one & seven tenths acres, valued at three hundred & thirty five dollars. Lot No. 10 is assigned to Mary C Jones in severalty, bounded as follows, to wit - beginning at a large sweet gum in Wm F Patrick's line & runs then S 89.3 W 7.00 chs to a stake, Patricks corner - then S 8.30 W 11.00 chs to a stake - then S 88.30 W 33.00 chs to a stake - then S 1.30 E 5.40 chs to a stake - then S 47.30 E 32.00 chs to a stake - then N 47.30 E 62 poles - then S 43 E 13 poles to a stake, Grady's corner - then with their line N 8.30 E 127 poles to the first station, containing eighty & three fourths acres, valued at three hundred & seventy five dollars. We further charge the more valuable dividends with such sums of money respectively to be paid to those of inferior value as will make an equitable division - that is to say: Lot No. 1 assigned to Erban Potts pays to Lot No. 2 assigned to Minnie C Potts the sum of nine & one half dollars & also pays to Lot No. 4 assigned to Susan M Jones, the sum of six dollars. Lot No. 3 assigned to Wm Potts pays to Lot No. 4 assigned to Susan M Jones the sum of eight & one half dollars & also pays to Lot No. 6 assigned to Cinthia Fields the sum of seven dollars. Lot No. 5 assigned to Newman Potts pays to Lot No. 6 assigned to Cinthia Fields the sum of two & one half dollars - also pays to Lot No. 8 assigned to Lucius Potts the sum of thirteen dollars. Lot No. 7 assigned to Julia E Potts pays to Lot No. 8 assigned to L. Potts the sum of eleven & one half dollars also pays to Lot No. 9 assigned to Hanah M Stafford the sum of nine dollars. Lot No. 10 assigned to Mary C Jones pays to Lot No. 9 assigned to Hanah M Stafford the sum of fifteen & one half dollars. This in our judgement is an equitable division & partition of said lands.
