Bk. 8, p. 79-80 State of North Carolina Wayne Co., NC To all to whom these presents shall come know ye that I, Henry BAILEY of the County aforesaid do for and in Consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Seventy five Dollars to me in hand paid or secured to be paid by Robert RAPER of the County aforesaid and the Recipt thereof is hereby acknowledged and myself fully satisfied I do by these presents acknowledge that I have bargained, sold, set over and Delivered unto him a certain tract of land lying and being in the County aforesaid. beginning at a black Gum in the Goard Branch running near north to a pine then aline of marked trees to a pine in John EVANS line thence near south with said line to said branch and from thence up the branch to the beginning containing one hundred acres more or less containing the Plantation whereon I the said Henry BAILEY now lives to have and to hold the said bargained premises with all the profits and privedges thereunto belong unto him this s’d. Robert RAPER his heirs executors, Administrators or Assigns forever to there only proper use benefit and behoof I the said Henry BAILEY at the unsealing and Delivery of these presents have in my self good right full full power and and Lawful Authority to give grant bargain set over and deliver unto him the Robert RAPER his heirs or assigns and moreover I the said Henry BAILEY do warrant and forever defend the said Tract of land unto him the said Robert RAPER his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns forever from the lawful Right or demand of an person or persons whatever in witness I have hereunto set my hand and fixt my seal this the 31st day of July 1804.
