Deed of gift on 20 Apr 1878 for love and affection for son Charles Russell
Barfield both of Wayne Co a certain tract of land lying and being in Wayne
Co on the waters of Thunderswamp adjoining lands of James R. Parker,
Bryant Barfield, etc beginning at a stake on the run of Thunderswamp to
a stake in Bryan Barfield's line, thence to the old mill back to Marsh
Branch - 170 1/2 acres reserving priviledges to cultivate said land until
Clarence Russell Barfield comes 21 years of age - if said Charles Russell
Barfield should die without lawful heirs of his body then the said land
shall go to my two daughters Mattie Viola and Versalies Barfield in fee
simple or to survivor of the two daughters
