Hudson of the second part all of Wayne County sate of North Carolina Witnessth that said party of first part in consideration of Three hundred and fifty dollars to them paid by the party of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain convey to said second party his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns a tract of land in Wayne County State of North Carolina bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake near a pine and runs S84E 83poles to a stake then E27 poles to a stake then at 1/2E 36 poles to a stake then N72½ W 122 poles to a stake then straight to the beginning containing 35 acres more or less. To have and to hold aforesaid tract of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to their only use and behoof. And the said parties of the first part for the consideration aforesaid covenant they are seized of said premises in fee and have right to convey the same in fee simple that the same are free from all encumbrances and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever. Brock lhis wife personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed and the said Julia Brock being by me privately examined and separate apart from her husband touching her voluntarily execution of the same doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily without fear or compulsion of her husband or any other person, that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto.
