Deed

This Indenture made this sixth day of November in the year of our Lord one 
thousand eight hundred and seventeen, between Richard Carraway of the state 
of North Carolina and county of Wayne on the one part and John McKinne Jun'r 
of the same place on the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration 
of the sum of two hundred dollars to me in hand the receipt and payment 
whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these 
presents do granted and sold unto the said John McKinne a certain tract or 
parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Wayne whereon the 
said Richard Caraway now lives.

Beginning in Probert Colliers line near the head of the Short Branch and 
runs down the said branch to a sapling pine marked on the north side of said 
branch on the Hill, from thence a south course to the run of Caraway's 
Creek, thence down the meanders of the run of said creek to a lightwood 
stake sixty yards above the old mill, thence a north course to sd Collier's 
line then with his line to the old Neuse Road, from thence the same courses 
continued across the Great or Slocumb Marsh to my back line, formerly my 
Father, John Caraway's back line, it being the land which my said Father 
deeded to me by Deed of Gift this day and being all the land which he owned 
and on the north side of said lines and courses.
