Indenture made October 22, 1852 between Ervin A Thompson Clerk and Master in 
Equity for Wayne and Benajah Herring all of Wayne, whereas Micajah Casey and 
wife Sally Ann Casey and others (children of the aforesaid) were petitioners 
that the land mentioned and set forth in the petition in this cause be sold 
by the clerk privately or public auction. Said Thompson sold a part of the 
land to Benajah Herring for $381 land in Wayne beginning at a pine in Walnut 
Pocosin adjacent to Thomas Uzzell's corner, Council Best's corner and 
containing 127 acres.
