Indenture made August 17, 1812 between Lemuel and Mary Chesnut of Sampson 
and John Casey of Waye, for $250 land in Wayne on the Wolf Path Branch 
adjacent to John Jones' line, run of Thunder Swamp and containing 80 acres.
Witnesses: Joshua Bass and Jes Bass
This may certify that his day Mary Chesnut wife Lem Chesnut by as John 
Ingram and David Cornega the acting Justices for Sampson County concerning 
the land which fell to her from Thos Bass' estate late of Wayne County which 
she acknowledged to have signed he within deed of her own free consent.
