Deed made 15 May 1913 from the First Baptist Church of Goldsboro through its 
trustee G. A Norwood, E. L. Edmundson, F. B. Edmundson, F. T. Banks, L. N. Grant 
and J. J. Robinson of the first part and H. L. Grant of the second part, for 
$8500 a lot in the city of Goldsboro adjacent to the lands of the First Baptist 
Church and Best & Thompson adjoining the west side of John Street at a point 190 
feet south of the center of Walnut Street or 155 feet south of the northeast 
corner of Yelverton Hardware Co's store, Best and Thompsons brick warehouse, 
John Street.

It is agreed by the church that there shall forever remain vacant space 8 feet 
wide fronting on John Street and running west 75 feet as a walkway for the joint 
use of H. L. Grant and his assigns and the church and its successors or assigns.
