George W. Collier, John Collier & William O. Collier to George Whipple & M. E. 
Streeby Secretaries of the American Missionary Association. George W. Collier as 
Trustee by virtue of a deed from W. H. Oliver to him dated September 21, 1868, 
recently filed a petition in Superior Court to sell the land described – land in 
Wayne on the south side of Neuse River at or near the town of Everettsville 
beginning at a truss work on the Wilmington Weldon railroad across Yellow Marsh, 
N 3 1/2  E 157 poles to a truss work on said railroad across Long Branch, thence 
N 60 E 122 poles to Potts & Daniel's corner at the mouth of Mrs. Daniel’s lane, 
thence S 10 degrees E 156 poles to a stake Potts & Fields corner, thence S 19 E 153
poles to a black gum in Yellow Marsh, Fields corner, near the old Ford, thence
down the said Marsh to the beginning.
