George W. Collier to William H. H. Cobb
“Office” Lot

State of North Carolina Wayne County
This Indenture made and entered into this the 25th day of March 1866 between 
George W. Collier of the first part and William H. H. Cobb of the second part, 
both of the county and state aforesaid, Witnesseth that I the said George W. 
Collier of the first part have bargained and sold and do by these presents 
bargain and sell unto the said William H. H. Cobb his heirs and assigns for and 
in consideration of the sum of forty four dollars to me in hand paid by the said 
Cobb one certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the Village of 
Everittsville in said county containing one acre and known as the “Office Lot” 
and bounded on the north by David B. Everitt, east by William T. Morisey, south 
by John E. Whitfield, formerly the lodge lot, and west by H. D. Crows heirs line. 
The same one acre of land is owned jointly by Eli Murray of Wilmington, NC, each 
owning one half. The right and title of said land I warrant and defend unto the 
said Cobb his heirs and assigns free from all claims of any person whatsoever. In 
testimony I hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written.
