Jacob's son John F. Cook had died shortly before Jacob's Will was drawn up on Sept. 18, 1830. Jacob left his lands to his two surviving sons William and Henry V. Cook. Jacob died shortly after the date of his Will and his son Henry died intestate shortly thereafter. William Cook then was appointed administrator of his brother Henry's estate but he too died intestate before he could carry out those duties. Willy Bardin was then appointed administrator for both Henry and William in Feb. 1831. By Nov. 1831 when the division of lands was completed, the shares of Jacob's daughters Nancy Bardin and Charity Speight went to their heirs. Since both women were named in Jacob's it appears that they also died after Nov. 1830 and before Nov. 1831. Jacob's daughter Selah (Celia) Cox was apparently the sole survivor of Jacob Cook's six children in Nov. 1831. ! __________________________________________________________________________ USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
