Know ye that I Richard Cox of Wayne County NC farmer for divers good causes and considerations but especially for and in consideration of the love and good will I have for the Religious Society of the people commonly called Quakers have given unto each and every Member of the Society one certain piece of land in Wayne on the south side of Neuse River and joining thereon butted and bounded as follows: beginning at a post oak on the river bank containing two acres and 6/121 parts of an acre including the Meeting House of the said Society called Quakers where it now stands being myself lawfully possessed of the same as by patent granted to me bearing date the 25th of January 1773.
