Wayne County, NC Register of Deeds, Bk 25, pg 169

30 Sep 1856. Know all men that by virtue of several deeds of trusts to me executed 
by Wm. N. Jordan, and now on the records in the Registers office of said county, I 
James H. Everitt, in consideration of $870 paid by Job Warrick of said county and 
state, do convey unto him land in the Cross Roads district on or near the head 
waters of Horse Swamp adjacent to Nancy Everitt's line, stake of the path, John 
Coxs corner, corner of the garden, run of Horse Swamp, containing 174 acres. 
Witnesses: R. Rayner and John R. Smith. Registered 30 Sep 1856.
