Everitt to George W. Collier Lot # not given Wayne County Deed Book 26, p 481 This Indenture made this the (blank) day of January one thousand eight hundred and sixty between David B. Everitt of the county of Wayne and State of North Carolina of the one part and George W. Collier of the same county and state of the other part, Witnesseth that the said David B. Everitt for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen dollars to him in hand paid by the said George W. Collier the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and by these presents doth bargain sell alien enfeof and convey unto the said George W. Collier his heirs and assigns forever all of one certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county and state aforesaid in the Village of Everittsville and on the east side of the Wilmington and Weldon Rail Road adjoining the lands of the said Collier and the Masonic Lodge lot, beginning at a stake corner of said Masonic lodge lot on the street and runs west fourteen and two thirds poles to a stake in the line of said Rail Road then with said line of said Rail Road nine and one third poles to said Collier’s corner then with said Collier’s line east eighteen and a half poles to a stake in said Masonic lodge lot line then with said line to the beginning containing three fourths of an acre the same more or less to have and to hold the above bargained premises with all and singular the appurtenances privileges and commodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining. And I the said David B. Everitt by these presents obligate and bid myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to warrant and ever to defend the right and title to the above bargained land and premises unto the said George W. Collier his heirs and assigns forever free of all claims or demands of me myself my heirs and every other person or persons whatsoever.
