Wayne County, NC - John Faulkner To Richard Faulkner ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Deed Book 11 Page No. 234 John Faulkner To Richard Faulkner Recorded Feb. 1820 Deed 200 acres Register Of Deeds Wayne County, North Carolina This Indenture Made the 20th day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & Nineteen Between John Faulkner of the State of North Carolina & County of Wayne of the one part and Richard Faulkner of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnessed, that I the said John Faulkner for and in consideration of the Sum of Fourteen Hundred dollars to me in hand paid by him the said Richard Faulkner before the signing & delivering of these presents the receipt and payment which is hereby acknowledged that I the said John Faulkner has Bargained & sold unto him the said Richard Falkner his Heirs and assigns forever Two certain pieces or parcels of Land situate lying and being in the County aforesaid on the South side of the Yellow Marsh. Beginning at a white oak by the head of Hollow on the side of the road & runs S. 20 W. 180 poles to a Pine near the mouth of the Lane, thence with Rhodes line N. 70 Wt. 160 poles to a Stake by Richard Bass’s line, then Joining his line N.20 E. 180 poles to a Stake in the Yellow Marsh, then up the Marsh to the Beginning , Containing one hundred & Eighty acres Granted by Patent to Benjamin Dunn the 4th day of March 1775--Also one other tract or parcel of land. Beginning at a Stake in the Yellow Marsh & runs Massey’s line S. 15. E. 20 poles to a Pine Woodard’s corner then with his line S. 9. W. 150 poles to a pine then with the line of the above Tract N.20.E 180 poles to the Yellow Marsh then down the meanders of the Marsh to the Beginning Containing twenty acres Granted by Patent to Robert Faulkner the 10th day of May 1800 Containing in the whole Two Hundred Acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the afore said Bargained Land & premises together with all and Singular the profits Benefits, privileges & appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise apportioning unto him the said Richard Faulkner his heirs and assigns forever free & clear from all in cumbrances whatsoever and I the said John Faulkner do by these presents promise and agree to bind myself my heirs Eros admins. or assigns to Warrant & forever defend the above mentioned Land & premises from or against the Lawful claim or claims of any manner of person or persons whatsoever unto him the said Richard Faulkner his heirs Eros admins or assigns forever.
