Wayne County, NC - Joshua Garris Sr. to Thomas Garris, 1794 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Know all men by these presents that I JOSHUA GARRIS SR of Wayne County and State of North Carolina, have bargained and sold and delivered unto THOMAS GARRIS of the County and State aforesaid One Gray Mare all my stock of Hogs all my Household Furniture of all kinds all my working Tools and everything I have in possession for the consideration of Fourteen pounds to me in hand paid, and do agree that I am fully satisfied therewith and do warrant and defend the title of the said property to the said THOMAS GARRIS forever.
