Wayne County, NC - Merrimon & Ava Ginn, Lou Ethridge to Sally Sasser, 1881 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ North Carolina Wayne County This indenture executed this 7th day of April AD 1881 by and between MERRIMON GINN, wife AVA, and LOU C. ETHRIDGE of the first part and SALLY ANN SASSER of the second part, all of said state and county. Witness that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars to them in hand paid by the party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained and sold by these presents grant bargain and sell unto the said party of the second part the two following described lands or parcels of land, situate in said county on east side of Beaver Dam swamp. The one described as follows to wit, beginning at a stake on the swamp path leading from Nahunta Church and crossing Beaver Dam near Arthur Howell, (gives description) containing ten (10) acres more or less being the same that was conveyed by Wm. Exum to WILLIS ETHRIDGE by deed dated 30th day of March AD 1869. The other tract described as follows to wit: adjoining the land of Arthur Howell and others (gives description) containing 15 1/4 acres and being the same that was conveyed to WILLIS ETHRIDGE by William Exum by deed dated December 31 AD 1869, both of said tracts now in the possession of the said parties of the second part. To have and to hold the above described premises with the appurtenances thereto belonging to her the said SALLY ANN SASSER her heirs and assigns to their only use and behoof forever. In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part the said MERRIMON GINN and wife AVA and said LOU C. ETHRIDGE have hereto set their hand and affixed their seals this the day and date above written.
