Wayne County, NC Register of Deeds, Bk 22, pg 18

Deed made 23 Aug 1850 from William Epps and Benjamin Griswold of the one part and 
Job Warrick of the other part all of Wayne, for $600 land in Wayne adjacent to the 
run of Buck Swamp, pine on Buck Branch, stake near Rhodes corner, containing 232 
acres may more fully appear by having reference to a deed to Enoch Cobb given by 
Calvin R. Blackman Sheriff sold as the property of James Smith under a covenant to 
Bryan Barfield. Witness: Daniel E. Smith. Registered Nov. Term 1850.
