Indenture made January 12, 1805 between William Harris and Simon Herring both 
of Wayne, for 16 pounds land in Wayne on the south side of Neuse River between 
the head of Sleepy Creek and Horsepen Branch adjacent to Samuel Herrings 
corner, Dicksons line containing 15 acres
Witnesses: James Herring and Joseph Herring
Recorded: Feb'y Court 1805
