Indenture made August 12, 1806 between Simon Herring and James Herring both 
of Wayne, in consideration of the love good will and affection which he hath 
and do bear unto the said James Herring (his son) have and by these presents 
do grant land in Wayne on the Powells Run adjacent to the head or drain of 
the middle prong of South Run, Rogers line, Powells branch containing 220 
acres part of several surveys part of which were granted to the said Simon 
Herring including the house and plantation where the said James Herring now 
lives.
Witnesses: B F Kornegay and Joseph Herring
