Indenture made April 22, 1785 between Heli Herring and Barnabas McKinne both 
of Wayne, for 100 pounds land in Wayne on the north side of Neuse River on 
east side of Bouge Marsh Branch granted by patent to Samuel Herring 28 Feb 
1739 and by the said Sam'l Herring conveyed to his brother Anthony Herring 
and by him conveyed to his son Henry Herring and by his will to his two sons 
Nathan and Drury during their natural lives and after the deaths of Nathan 
and Drury Herring to his younger son sd Heli Herring containing in the whole 
350 acres.
