Indenture made January, 1797 between Samuel Herring and William Whitfield 
both of Wayne, for 25 pounds land in Wayne on both sides of the head of the 
Indian Spring Branch joining Simon Herring, Needham Whitfield's lands and 
adjacent to Dickson's lines, Winfield's corner, Samuel Herring's corner and 
containing 80 acres being part of a patent granted to Thomas Tanner bearing 
date 9 Jul 1794.
