Wayne County

This indenture made this the sixth day of Octboer AD one thousand eight hundred 
and sixty six between David B. Everitt Executor of Mrs. Ann W. Hooks deceased 
both of the county and state aforesaid of the first part and John S. Midyett of 
the same county and state of the second part Witnesseth that the said Party of 
the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty two 
dollars to him duly paid by the said part of the second part at or before the 
ensealing and delivery thereof hath sold at public auction and by these presents 
doth grant and convey unto the said part of the second part and to his heirs 
administrators executors and assigns forever a certain lot known as the Hooks lot 
adjoining the Pridgen lot and fronting the Methodist Church in the Village of 
Everittsville in the county and state aforesaid containing two acres together 
with all singular the tenements hereditments and appurtances thereunto belonging 
free from the lawfull claims of any and all persons whatsoever In Testimony 
whereof he doth hereunto set his hand and seal
