This Deed made by Jobe Warrick, Sr and his wife Sarah Warrick to C.J. Hudson witnessed that we Jobe Warrick, sr and wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and seventy-five dollars the rec't which is hereby acknowledged has bargained, sold and conveyed by these present doth bargain, sell and convey to the sd C Jart Hudson his heirs and assigns forever the following land in Wayne County, NC viz on the south side of Horse Swamp and border as follows viz -beginning at a Red Oak stump and runs W10 E140 poles to small pine then S88 W176 poles to a stake then S2 W64 to a stake in the path John Cox dec'd corner then with the path S62 E146 poles to a pine then S88 E28 poles to the beginning containing one hundred eleven acres to have and hold the aforesaid tract of land to him Garit Hudson his heirs and assigns forever free and clear from all claims whatsoever of any an all persons and the said Jobe Warrick and Sarah Warrick his wife for themselves doth warrant with the sd G.J. Hudson his heirs and assigns forever free and clear from all claims whatsoever of any an all person and the said Jobe Warrick and Sarah Warrick his wife for themselves doth warrant with the sd G.J. Hudson that the said Jobe Warrick and wife is lawfully seized and possessed of the aforesaid land in fee simple and has full rights to convey the same in witness where of we the said Jobe Warrick and Sarah Warrick has hereto subscribed our names and affixed our seals this the first day of January 1870. Cogdell Willy Warrick IN PROBATE COURT North Carolina, Wayne County Be it remembered that on this 18th day of January AD 1870 before the undersigned Judge of Probate for said county personally came Jobe Warrick and Sarah his wife the persons described in and who signed the foregoing deed and acknowledged the due execution thereof by them as their act and deeds. And thereupon the said Sarah being by the undersigned privately examined separate and apart from her said husband touching her preconcert in the execution there of does declare that she executed said deed free of her own free will and accord without force from or under influence of her said husband or any other person and does still voluntarily assent thereto. Therefore let the said deed register together with this certificate be registered. Geo. Jno.
