David Jones to David F. McKinnie

This Indenture made this 1st day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand 
eight hundred and fifty two between David Jones of the county of Wayne and State 
of North Carolina of the one part and David F. McKinnie of the same county and 
state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said David Jones for and in 
consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said 
David F. McKinnie at and before the signing sealing and delivering of these 
presents the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained 
sold aliened enfeoffed confirmed and conveyed unto the said David F. McKinnie his 
heirs administrators and assigns forever one lot of land in the Village of 
Everittsville on the south side of Neuse River in the county of Wayne and State 
aforesaid and on the east side of the Wilmington and Raleigh Rail Road and known 
in the plan of said Village as No. 16 on the west side of West Street containing 
one acre to have and to hold the above bargained premises with all and singular 
the buildings improvements ways woods waters mines and minerals privileges and 
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to the same and I 
the said David Jones do by these presents obligate and bind myself my heirs and 
assigns to warrant and forever defend the right and title to the above bargained 
premises unto the said David F. McKinnie his heirs and assigns forever free and 
clear of all demands rights titles and claims of myself my heirs executors and 
administrators and every other person or persons whatever. In witness whereof I 
have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and date first above written.

Then was the above deed of sale from David Jones to David F. McKinnie duly proven 
before me by the oath of William Hollowell a subscribing witness thereto and let 
it be registered.
