Jones to Josiah Fields Both of the town of Goldsboro. Fields was security for Jones on the following notes: One payable to Geo. V. Strong for $26 One to John J. Bradbury for $38.79 One to Henry Stanton for $160 One to John Langston for $100 One to William Robinson for about $15 Whereas Jones is indebted to Fields for $201.54 This indenture Witnesseth for and in consideration of the premises together with the further consideration of one dollar paid by Fields, Jones mortgaged to Fields a certain lot in Goldsboro in the plan of the town known as #2 until December 30, 1856 at which time if his debts aren’t paid, Fields can sell the property to satisfy debt.
