Deed made 24 Apr 1878 between James & Jno. Lane to H. L. Grant all of Wayne, for 
$400 land in Wayne known as a part of the old site of Waynesboro and known in 
the plan of the said town as lots 48, 53, 55, 56, 57, 58, 60, 65, 67, 77, 79, 
80, 82, 84, 85, 87, 88 and 98 containing nine acres as evidenced by a deed 
bearing date the 27 Feby 1868 from L. W. Humphrey admininstrator of Rich'd 
Washington dec'd to Jno. M. Franks which said lot of land the said Jno. M. 
Franks devised to the said James and Jno. Lane and is now in the possession of 
H. L. Grant under a lease for one year from said James and Jno. Lane. Recorded 
Apr. 29, 1878.
