Indenture made March 19, 1842 between Henry Lewis of the county of Nash and 
Robert Simms of Wayne, for $11 land in Wayne (sic) (Greene?) on the south side 
of Contentney Creek it being all the right and title and interest of Hilliard 
Lewis which he had in right of his wife in the lands of Thos. Thomlinson dec'd 
and sold by the sheriff of Wayne on November 20, 1837 for which I have a deed. 
Witnesses: Thos T Simms and Henry Pope
